Worth It or Not? the Girl Online book trilogy

worth it or not? girl online trilogy

Hello Everyone!

So... The Girl Online book series! Are they worth reading or not? If you don't know what the Girl Online book series is, it's a series of novels from the famous YouTuber Zoella AKA Zoe Sugg. There are three books in this series; the first one being Girl Online, followed by Girl Online: On Tour with the final book in the series being Girl Online: Going Solo.
Girl Online Trilogy
The books follow the story of the young female blogger Penny, who's from Brighton, she's also an aspiring photographer. (These books also kind of made me want to create this blog so thank you Girl Online for inspiring me!) Her mum is a wedding organiser, so she arranges all the set up of the ceremonies etc, through this Penny meets Noah Flynn, the famous guitar playing heartthrob. The whole series follows Penny and Noah and the relationship they build and how they push each other to better themselves, there's also some interesting parts where Noah and Penny's best friend (I believe his name is Elliot) helps Penny overcome her anxiety, there are some points in this book that could be useful for people with friends who have anxiety as it helps you understand ways that you can help them.

I myself have read all three of these books, I absolutely loved following Penny's journey and her experience with blogging! I found each of these books very easy to read, but also very hard to put down; I believe it took me less than a week to read each of these books because I just loved them that much. I believe I received each book the Christmas after they would be released, so they'd be released in about October/November and I got them as Christmas presents the month after they were each released. I think if it hadn't been Christmas and I'd had more time free I would've read these books in about a day or 2 for each one!

Do I think they are worth reading or buying? Yes I absolutely do! These books are very well written and are good for teenagers, young adults or just about anyone to be perfectly honest. I loved these books so much, they share a special space on my bookshelf. The design of the books are really pleasing to look at, the colour schemes are very much Zoe. They look very pleasing next to my Zoella Book Club books that I've managed to collect! People are usually quite cautious when it comes to these books because they were written by a YouTuber, but trust me they are very well written, I'm pretty sure I would've picked up these books to read even if they hadn't been written by a famous influencer. I really love the story that continues through each of these books, I actually wish there was more to the series after the way Girl Online: Going Solo ended, I was actually quite disappointed when I found out that that was going to be the last book.

So... Worth it or not? Absolutely worth it in my opinion! I doubt you'll ever read this post but well done Zoe you did really well with these books, I just wish there were more of them. If she was every to write another book or series of books in the future I would 100% buy them, I love the way she writes and would definitely love to read more books by her!

  5. I have read all three of these in the trio and I couldn't agree any less with your opinion on them. They are amazing and following Penny is truly inspiring and the books themselves are so intriguing. I finished them in a few days! When I started reading the first book the second one was already out so I went and got the second the same day I finished. I binge read!! 10/10 recommend x
